Resumo do cargo: 

• Garantir controles e avaliações financeiras e orçamentárias precisas, fidedignas e no tempo adequado, suportando decisões com reportes internos, institucionais e externos.
• Monitorar o processo de execução orçamentária, dialogando e aprimorando, junto às áreas programáticas, os mecanismos de gestão.
• Monitorar os serviços externos de contabilidade, fiscal e tributário para garantir o cumprimento das entregas e fechamento contábil.

Pré-requisitos:

• Formação em Ciências Contábeis, Ciências Econômicas, Administração ou afins;
• Experiência em processos de controle contábil (análises e demonstrativos);
• Conhecimento em Sistemas de informações gerenciais (ERP) e Sistemas de controladoria;
• Conhecimento em Power BI ou aplicativos dashboard e plataformas de controladoria;
• Ser oriundo da área contábil/financeira de organização do Terceiro Setor;
• Inglês nível intermediário/fluente

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Fundraising Director, the Grants Adviser role will identify, cultivate and manage a portfolio of foundation and institutional donors at the gift level of USD $50,000+ in support of Amnesty International’s human rights work in Brazil.

To work in this vacancy, you will need to reside in Brazil. The work mode is home office – CLT/Bra.

  ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, which includes cultivating and soliciting/closing gifts of at least $50,000+.
  • Analyze data and information and monitor local, regional and global funding opportunities and trends to drive strategic development of a portfolio.
  • Actively identify, qualify and cultivate key prospects, developing mutually beneficial relationships with prospective funders and ensuring compliance with Amnesty International’s Global Fundraising Guidelines.
  • Create individualized strategic and financial goals for each donor or prospect based on their history of giving, relationship to the organization and knowledge of the donor’s potential.
  • Maintain an overview of Amnesty International’s projects and activities in Brazil in order to match them to funding opportunities.
  • Develop high quality and innovative proposals and budgets for institutional support and human rights project funding in collaboration with program and finance staff and local partner organizations.
  • Draft proposals in collaboration with the program team that are suitable for the identified prospects.
  • Implement best practice in grants management, including project reporting and compliance with any other donor requirements, ensuring accountability to our funders and maintaining and enhancing AI’s reputation and credibility with grant giving bodies.
  • With the support from the program team, monitor the implementation of activities, key milestones, consolidate information and draft narrative reports on related project activities.
  • Track and report on portfolio activity and goals including number of donor meetings and contacts as well as amount raised.
  • Develop and implement grant management systems and procedures where necessary, ensuring that all donor information is up to date.
  • Provide appropriate training and support to other AI Brazil colleagues on project planning, implementation, budgeting and financial monitoring, reporting and evaluation as required for effective design and delivery of donor-funded projects.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with the program, fundraising and finance teams, as well as fundraising staff based in other parts of the AI movement, to advance the goals of AI Brazil.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in human rights, international cooperation, development studies, fundraising or similar.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders in person and remotely.
  • Substantial background in fundraising, including 3-7 years of direct experience with Brazilian and international foundation and institutional donors and prospects;
  • Demonstrated success in personal cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and closing of large, multi-year grants;
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand, speak and write compellingly about the AI Brazil’s work across the many issue areas of human rights;
  • Proven ability to create donor communications / reports and grant proposals, including using project planning methodologies such as logical framework approach and theories of change;
  • Good financial management skills including the ability to develop and monitor complex donor budgets.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and goals;
  • Ability to think strategically; engage people with a variety of backgrounds and viewpoints; and work meticulously with close attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and poise; tactful, diplomatic and assertive;
  • Experience working in large multi-issue organizations a plus;
  • Sound judgment in maintaining donor confidentiality.
